In 1967 wordt CCC Inc. opgericht in Amsterdam. De band speelt dan nog voornamelijk folk en blues-muziek en wordt enige tijd geboekt door Lennaert Nijgh. Rond 1969 krijgt CCC haar bekendste bezetting: Joost Belinfante, viool, zang; Jaap van Beusekom, banjo, zang; Ernst Jansz, wasbord; Jan Kloos, gitaar; Appie Rammers, bas en Huib Schreurs, mondharmonica. In 1970 haalt de band de pers door een commune te beginnen op het Brabantse platteland en als enige Nederlandse groep op te treden op het hoofdpodium van het legendarische popfestival van Kralingen. CCC is buitengewoon succesvol in het clubcircuit en wordt huisorkest van Paradiso, de Melkweg en de Kosmos. Nadat de groep zichzelf in 1974 heeft opgeheven, gaat zij ondergronds. Tijdens jaarlijkse bijeenkomsten wordt nog steeds muziek gemaakt en bij tijd en wijle ook opgetreden. Opnames van deze sessies zijn te horen op de 12-CD box met het verzameld werk, die ter gelegenheid van het 40-jarig bestaan is verschenen. Ook besluit CCC weer regelmatig te gaan optreden. In 1967 CCC Inc. was founded in Amsterdam. The name CCC is an abbreviation of Capital Canal City. The band plays than mainly American traditional folk and blues-music.
Around 1969 CCC gets its best-known occupation: Joost Belinfante, violin, harmonica, vocals; Jaap van Beusekom, banjo, autoharp, vocals; Ernst Jansz, washboard, piano; Jan Kloos, guitar; Appie Rammers, bass and Huib Schreurs, harmonica. In 1970 the band gets the National press by a commune starting on the Brabant countryside and as the only Dutch group to act on the main stage of the legendary pop festival of Kralingen, the Holland Popfestival. CCC is extremely successful in the club circuit and is the resident orchestra of Paradiso, Melkweg and Fantasio (the Cosmos) and releases four albums. After the group has lifted itself in 1974, she goes underground. During annual meetings still music is created and at times they give occasional concerts. Recordings of these sessions is to hear on the 12-CD box with the collected work, that on the occasion of the 40th anniversary in 2007 is published. CCC decide to perform a limited number of concerts every year.
